Da-Dao-Cheng Sheng Yuan
In the winter of 1946, Sheng Yuan Pharmacy was established in the most bustling Da-Dao-Cheng Shopping District in Taipei, known as the Di-Hua Street commercial loop now. It was then the economic-cultural center of Taiwan society and also the cradle that nourished the Taiwan economic miracle in the 1960s.
The founder Mr. A-Man Lin never forgot his original aspiration - “genuine goods at fair prices; neither the old nor the young will be cheated.” He insisted on choosing fine herbs, upheld the concept of “producing products with conscience and running business honestly” and strictly abided by the principle of “Sparing no efforts, despite the complicated production process of traditional Chinese medicine. Sparing no expense on ingredients despite invaluable taste”, and served the public with genuine intention. Starting with three employees and later expanding to fifty employees, the Pharmacy branched out and established Sheng Yuan Trade Company and Sheng Yuan Pharmaceutical Company for business expansion.
